The Millyard Museum is 9! Birthday Party and Open House Saturday, April 17 At the Millyard Museum 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. FREE Admission Join the Manchester Historic Association as we celebrate the Millyard MuseumÂÂ's 9th birthday and the 150th anniversary of Abraham LincolnÂÂ's visit to Manchester on March 1, 1860! Enjoy a full day of activities at the Millyard Museum: 10:00 a.m. ÂÂ- ÂÂ"Blacks in Manchester in the 19th CenturyÂÂ" talk by Rick Tyson, University of New Hampshire student and MHA intern. Mr. Tyson will present information he recently uncovered regarding the black population of Manchester before, during and after the period of the Civil War. 11:15 a.m. ÂÂ- The 12th NHV Serenade Band will perform Civil War-era music in period costume, playing on authentic instruments from the period. 1:15 p.m. ÂÂ- The 12th NHV Serenade Band will return for a second performance. 2:30 p.m. - Birthday Party for the Millyard Museum and reception to honor our volunteers - everyone is invited!
